Summer Bus Pass Information
The City of Madison is partnering with MMSD schools to distribute free summer Metro Transit passes to ALL middle and high school students in the MMSD attendance area to provide better transit access to the community. Passes will be valid Wednesday, June 9th through Monday, September 7th.
East High students can request their pass using this google form.
Students who fill out the form above will be notified when their pass is ready and can be picked up beginning June 21st in the Welcome Center during Summer Semester hours. (Monday-Thursday 8:00am-12:15pm)

The District does not generally provide transportation to high-school-aged students. Rather, the District and City of Madison work cooperatively to ensure that Madison Metro Transit routes are available to students as a primary means of transportation. Yellow bus transportation is provided to neighborhoods where no public transportation is available. District-provided Metro passes are available for students who:
- Reside within the boundaries of the school attendance area AND
- Reside more than one and one-half (1.5) miles from their attendance area school AND
- Have demonstrable financial need, including qualifying for free or reduced lunch.
District funded bus passes will be distributed to qualifying students returning to in-person instruction on the first day of their in-person attendance. (The week of April 20th or 27th)
