For students and families NEW TO MMSD: New Student Enrollment Process at East
2022-2023 ENROLLMENT FOR CURRENT/RETURNING STUDENTS
ALL students and families need to complete online enrollment each year. Enrollment is done virtually and 100% paperless, no in-person enrollment needed. Online enrollment begins Wednesday, August 3rd. Staff will be available to virtually assist students and families with online enrollment on Monday, August 15th between 11am-6pm and Tuesday, August 16th between 7:30am-1pm.
COMPLETE ONLINE ENROLLMENT (Beginning August 3rd, 2022)
Locate your Infinite Campus username and password to access the online enrollment system. Fill out this form to receive an email with your username and/or password if you don't have it. Fill out the yearly enrollment information and pay fees online by visiting the MMSD Enrollment website.
As in previous years, student fees will be collected during online enrollment. Fees may be paid online with a credit card at any time without a service fee or by mailing a check to East’s Main Office (2222 East Washington Avenue, Madison, WI, 53704). The District sends out monthly invoices for all fees owed once school begins. Waivers can be requested for some fees.
PHOTO IDS AND LIFETOUCH PORTRAITS
Photo IDs will be provided during the first week of school based on photos from last school year. LifeTouch portraits for the Yearbook will be taken at East High School on Friday, October 7th, 2022 between 8am-3pm. Yearbook picture retakes will be taken at East High School on Tuesday, November 15th, 2022 between 8am-3pm.
Students should use the same Chromebook they used last school year. The District will be replacing Chromebooks in waves.
Schedules will be viewable beginning the week of August 22nd in Infinite Campus and through the "Campus Parent" and "Campus Student" app on mobile devices. Schedule change request information can be found here. The daily schedule can be found here.
High schools do not have specific school supply lists. Supplies will vary based on individual courses. Teachers will inform students of specific needs during the first week of school.
SCHOOL BREAKFAST AND LUNCH
The District does not generally provide transportation to high school students. Rather, the District and City of Madison work cooperatively to ensure that Madison Metro Transit routes are available to students as a primary means of transportation. District-provided Madison Metro bus passes are available for students who:
- Reside within the boundaries of the school attendance area
- Reside more than one and one-half (1.5) miles from their attendance area school.
- Have demonstrable financial need, including qualifying for the Free & Reduced Meal Program.
District funded bus passes for students who qualify will be distributed during the first weeks of school.
For Madison Metro Transit questions, check out their website or call 608-266-4466.
