Student activities are an important part of the high school experience. Studies show that students who are involved in student activities are more likely to achieve academically in high school.
Classroom subjects teach content and knowing how to learn in future situations; and these skills are important. However, co-curricular activities encourage students to develop socially and mature in social situations. Co-curricular activities provide students with an opportunity for growth in terms of leisure and lifetime interests.
East offers a wide variety of opportunities for student involvement. These activities include WIAA sanctioned sports as well as club sports. Other club activities include academic clubs, social clubs, philanthropic clubs. All students are encouraged to check out the options and find a way to be involved.
