Madison Metropolitan School District does not offer driving instruction. The following information may be helpful as students explore ways to obtain their training and license.

MSCR Summer Driver's Ed Program
Online applications for the Summer 2024 Dane County Driver Education Scholarship program through MSCR must be completed in the Spring (by April 15, 2024) to be considered for the class over the Summer. It is not first come first serve. Any application received by the deadline will be considered, however there is a selection process due to limited spots in the class. Note that students 17 years old or older are not eligible for this program. Students must be born between 1/1/2008 and 12/31/2008.
- Monday-Thursday, June 17 - July 18, 2024, 12:30-2:30pm at O'Keeffe Middle School (due to construction at East High School) - no class 6/19, 7/4, 7/15
- Applications due by April 15, 2024.
- Recipients of the scholarships will be notified by May 10th.

Provides a Department of Public Instruction (DPI) approved Driver Education Program to high schoolers throughout Wisconsin. Currently, classes are all being conducted online. Behind the Wheel sessions are continuing face to face.
