Starting in the summer of 2021, we are intentionally creating another semester of school to occur in the summer; a continuation of learning, time for students to accelerate their learning and get on track for graduation to become college, career and community ready. We recognize that due to the disruption in learning when schools closed in March 2020 and the ongoing virtual learning challenges, that many of our students have missed instruction which highlights the need for high quality, targeted instruction for our students who need it the most beyond the regular school year.

Summer Semester 2021 Registration Information Document

Monday, June 21 - Thursday, July 29 (No class July 5th)

  • Schedule: Monday - Thursday - 8:00-10:05am, 10:10am-12:15pm
  • Students will be able to enter the building beginning at 7:45am.
  • Breakfast will be served from 7:45-7:55am.

Since summer school courses are 18-week courses condensed into 6 weeks, one day of absence is equivalent to 3 days during the regular school year. In addition students are expected to not be late for class due to loss of instructional time.  Summer school has a 5 day absence limit (excused and/or unexcused). Students who exceed this limit will need to meet with SS Principal and teacher to develop an action plan to ensure course completion.  If there is no progress with the plan you may be dropped from the course.
